PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—A case of
heating and sex assault was record-
ed here last week when a 34-year-
old mother was attacked oif a rail-
road track by a man whose identity
Is still unknown.
Mrs. Paul Stewart was treated
at St. Joseph's hospital for bruises
anil lacerations of the face, body,
legs and arms. She Is presently con-
fined to bed nt home under a phy-
sician's care.
The Injured mother said a man
accosted her at the tracks anil a
street Intersection. After attacking
her three times, he removed 122
from her poeketbook anil warned
her not to scream.
"The only thing that kept him
from beating me still more," said
the shock-stricken mother, "was my
plea to have mercy for my daugh-
ter's sake."

denies being father of Miss fiwa-
der's child, despite numerous pho-
tograph*, atrongly resembling him.
