TWO ROUTES CONSIDERED
Two routes are being considered for
the interurban, one by way of Seguin,
Gonzales, and Columbus, and known
as the northern route, the other by
way of Southerland Springs, Cuero,
and Yoakum, and known as the south*
era route. Mr, Kennedy said that al-
ready he had obtained bonus and
stock subscriptions amounting to
nearly $300,000. He anticipates rais-
ing an additional 8200,000, represent-
ed by townsites and right of way.
Richmond subscribed $25,000. Suth-
erland Springs gave him a very cor-
dial reception and promised to be in
the running for the interurban, and
Yoakum has sent several committees
to see him and is preparing to give
him a cordial reception when he gets
there. Mr. Kennedy said last night
that he has only three counties to vis-
it, including Bexar County, to com-
plete his stock and bonus subscrip-
tions and he e*pects to have these
completed very soon. Leading San
Antonio men are said to be subscrib-
ing to the stock very freely.

the interurban will extend, including

sum and this will enable the company
to do away with many powerhouses
along the interurban. Builders of the
hydraulic power plant are inviting
this class of co-operation for they
work together to build up and devel-
op the country.
Mr. Kennedy appeared much pleased
with the reception given him in San
Antonio and the encouragement for
his project. He expects to raise a
a large amount of stock subscrip-
tions here. It is proposed to begin
