RICHARD WOOTTEN, C/495, 319 Snyder Ave.,
Philadelphia, PA. His copy of the November, 1982
Hellcat News was returned with the notation "De-
ceased". No other information available.
EDWARD CAPONE, Hq/17, 448 Oak Street,
Ridgefield, NJ 07657 passed away Nov. 21, 1982 per
note from his sister, Mrs. J. Mazzoni [of the same
address]. No other information available.
EARL GOLLAR, A/119, Rt. 1, Box 443, Rochest-
er, IN 46975 died May 7, 1982. He had suffered from a
heart problem and emphysema, along with numerous
other ailments. He is survived by his wife Mardeile;
one son David, and one daughter Debbie. Mardeile
reported his death, and said he had been awarded the
Purple Heart.
EDWARD FRANK COOLEY, A/43, Box 35,
Alpine, NY 14805, was reported "Deceased" on the
envelope returned by the Postal Service. No other

LEE L. JETER, Sv/17, 936 N. Grand, Mesa, AZ
85201 died of lung cancer on August 27, 1982, per a
note from his wife Freda. He was born September 22,
1908 in Thurber, TX, and died in Phoenix, AZ. His wife
Freda said he had been ill of lung cancer the past
three years, due to smoking too much, and she
advises "Boys, please heed warning signs."
CHARLES W. HASTINGS, B/119, 168 S. Fostoria
Ave., Springfield, OH 45505, was reported deceased
January 25, 1979 by his wife Jean, in response to a
message we had sent to him. No other information
available.
GEORGE M. SCHMALEY, B/92, 1900 Ridge Ave.,
Arnold, PA 15068, died of cancer November 13, 1982
per a note from his daughter, Katherine Schmaley
Mazur, postmarked 12-02-82. No other information
available.
NEIL A. DAMBRIE, A/43, 492 Brighton Ave.,
Portland, ME 04102 was reported deceased in a note
from John S. O'Neil [Hq/43rd] postmarked 12-2-82,
which stated "Did you know that Neil Dambrie passed
away this year?" No other information available.
RALPH E. KITZMILLER, Sv/56, c/o R. W.
Gabriel, EX, 37 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43212,
died from a stroke in December, 1981 [Dan Leacy, 56th
Unit Rep. received this word from Marvel B. Rowland,
B/56]. He was survived by a son, Ralph G. Kitzmiller,
2689 Fox Run Court, Westerville, OH 43081; and a
daughter, Marilyn J. Thompson, 3497 Bremen St.,
Columbus, OH 43224.
STEPHEN MATEIK, A/714, 12320 Melling Lane,
Bowie, MD 20715, died July 8, 1982, per notification
from George Moss, 714th Tank Bn. Unit Rep. No other
information available.
EARL F. LOSER, D/44, Fondulac Nursing Home,
911 lllini Dr., E. Peoria, IL 61611, reported deceased
[date of death unknown] by Claude Spargur, A/44. He
was not a member of the 12th ADA.
ELVIS WIEGEL, C/44, Oak Manor #38, Warroad,
MN 56763, was reported deceased July 22, 1982 in a
note to Claude Spargur, A/44, from Elvis's wife. He
was not a member of the 12th ADA.
WALTER C. HANSEN, B/493, 9023 Winston,
Detroit, Ml 48239, died December 3, 1982. Suffering
from leukemia, he had undergone extensive chemo-
therapy treatments, which affected his heart [per
Til ford N. Juison, B/493, who phoned in this report].
He is survived by his wife Helen D.; two daughters,
Karen J. Wood, and Mrs. Michael [Suzzanne]
Jakubowski; and one son Mark. His funeral was
conducted Monday, December 6th at Lady of Grace
Catholic Church, Dearborn, Ml, with interment in St.
Hedwog Cemetery, Detroit, Ml. Joe Mielnik, 495th
Unit Rep., attended the services.
ERLAN HANSON, C/495, 6502 W. Ina Road,
Tucson, AZ 85704, died at age 72, on November 11,
1982 as a result of cancer. His wife Clara survives on
their ranch called "The Iron wood". Reported by Bruce
Warren, brother-in-law of Erlan Hanson.
LEONARD S. FEIT, C/493, PO Box 231, Cable,
Wl 54821, died October 20, 1980 per note from Paul
Gosser, 493rd Unit Rep. He received this information
on an envelope that was returned to him, which he
had forwarded to Mr. Feit.
CLARENCE G. ALLARY, Sv/714, Dunseith, ND
58329, passed away January 20, 1980, per a note from
his wife Ina to George G. Moss, 714th Unit Rep. No
other information available.
