OLD FAITHFUL 82nd Medic Reports
1967 Detroit Reunion Chairman, Charles Quici and
1966 Chicago Reunion Chairman, "Bomby" Bombassaro
awarding Janet and Larry Mintz, past executive secretary a
special award for his 9 years of faithful service to our Assn.
Becky, age ten. I work for the
same company, American Saint
Gobain Corp. Have 27 years
there. Have fun at the reunion,
wish I could come." Norman Clark
wrote, "I don't think I will make
the reunion this year, but if I can
come up for at least one night I'll
try." Haven't heard from Arve
Bakken, Leon Maraj, Clarence
Utley but they live so close, we are
sure they will attend. Irwin Han-
son wrote, "Sorry to disappoint
you but I have changed jobs since
January and am low man on the
seniority list and will not be able
to attend. My son graduated from
Vocational School at Eau Claire
and we will be able to see him
on my vacation starting June 7th.
Wish you a lot of luck on your
fishing trip, also hope you don't
get too nervous while giving your
daughter away. Missed going to
the basket ball tournament so we
didn t get to see Ray Danklefesen
but talked to him over the phone."
Walter Harden wrote, "I don't
know if I can make it this year but
will try to swing it for Friday and
Saturday, depends on Sara's moth,
er. Her mother has been sick for
the past year. Phil Mauger wrote
It was nice hearing from you
and I know that we all are going
to have a jolly good time at the
convention in Detroit come Aug-
ust. Looking forward to it." Lloyd
Sheehy wrote "Just a few lines
to let you know I ant going to
try to make it this year. I am
feeling good but do not drive very
much, staying close to home that
is why you have not seen us." Re-
495th AFA BN.
Joe has gone to Canada for a
week's fishing so the better half
will try to fill in this month. Many
letters were sent to members to
find out how many will attend the
convention this year. Those who
plan to attend are: Erichsen, De-
Mauro, Owen, Saehloff, Worth,
Seitz, Sears, Lepley, Newman,
Mauger, Viverito, Gildhaus, Helge-
son, Kostial, Hardin, and Sheehy.
If at all possible Ostraat will be
here and we will be sure he will
try. John Ennis wrote "At present
I will not be able to attend, maybe
the next one." Robert Schwartz
wrote "Sorry, maybe the next
one." David Sloop's wife Maxine
wrote "One of these days we will
get to take a vacation again but
not this year. This year has been
a year of more sickness than us-
ual. We always enjoy reading the
Hellcat News." Clarence Locke
wrote, "Received your most wel-
come letter. I am sorry we will
not be able to attend this year.
Doris had two severe heart-attacks
in February and is still confined
to the house. Maybe next year we
can make it. Say hello to all for
us." Len Estep wrote "Sorry I
can t make it this year, maybe
the next one. I can't get my vac-
ation scheduled with the reunion.
My daughter Sharon who is
twenty, works at O'hara Field,
Chicago as a ticket agent for
American Airlines. If any of the
Hellcats pass through there Stop
and say Hi. Still have two girls at
home, Judy, age sixteen and
Here it is July and Rita has the
luggage packed already. If I told
her once, I told her a thousand
times; "The last thing you put in
the luggage is my razor, comb
and toothbrush." She has her
own theory on packing, she says
if she waits till the last minute
she'll forget it.
Don't blame Rita for being ex-
cited. Our 82nd did so well on
increasing membership we can't
wait to see what increase we'll
have at the reunion. Every year
ceived a phone call from Leonard
Gildhaus at seven in the morning
and was still half asleep but it
was nice to hear that he will at-
tend this year.
Most of the letters came this
week and I know Joe will be glad
that so many did write. If I miss-
ed anyone, accept my apology as
I tried my best. I have to admit it
wasn't easy to write this article,
I'm strictly a letter writer so
after this I plan to have Joe write
his article before he goes on his
trip next year. Closing with a
wife's view-point, "I takes only
one attendance to meet friends
and you will find yourself look-
ing forward to the next meeting.
It s a great feeling that keeps you
going from year to year."

new faces turn up and it always
amazes me how easily they are
recognized. Even men from other
companies.
If the tours weren't so wonder-
ful it wouldn't be so easy to break
up the bus sessions. We also have
a few of the boys that have been
coming to reunions for years and
have yet to go on their first
HELLCAT tour.
The 82nd has many members
in the Michigan, Ohio and Indiana
area that don't even have to take
time off to attend a reunion. You
may lose a day of fun by arriving
late Friday night but those bull
sessions go on till the wee hours
of the morning. You might even
make the Hawaiian Party from 9
til 1 on Friday night.
After the Hawaiian Party we
have our own little gathering.
Concertina Millie plays and we
talk and sing the night away. This
could be the reason some of the
gang never goes on tours . . .
they're sleeping.
See you in Detroit,

you have the address of Sol Moro-
soff? (Sorry, Pete. Sol isn't in our
file. Can anyone in the 92nd
supply his address?)
ALOHA! HAWAIIAN PARTY - AUGUST 4
The 12th Arm'd Div. Ass'n proudly presents, Sir
Knight Tugab and his swaying palms for our Friday night
party and dance. Hawaiian and Tahitian Dancers plus native
singers plus Kawehi and her Samoan are all part of the floor
show. You won't want to miss it.
