the 11th Annual Hellcat Reunion
at the Carter Hotel, Cleveland,
August 1-3.
Famous for its friendly atmos-
phere, hospitable service and out-
standing accomodations throughout
the Middle Wei, the Hotel Carter
is located in the center of Cleve-
land, at Ninth and Prospect Sts.
All guest rooms to be assign-
ed to members of the assoc-
iation are air-conditioned.
Rates will be: single - $6.00;
double - $8.00; and twins - $9.00.
There is no charge for children
under 14 years of age occupying
same room as parents.
The Reunion Committee urges
you to get your reservation in as
soon as possible. No postage , is

Secretary Bensel Resigns
Notice to Membership:
LsRoy W. Bensel (119), executive secretary of the association
since the 1955 Reunion, submitted his resignation effective May 14.
It was necessitated by a sudden and serious illness, and was
conveyed to the president in a phone conversation from his wife,
Kay.
Karl G. Snyder (Div Hq), 219 Brookside Road, Norristown,
Penna., who is acquainted with the secretary's work, has agreed
to take over the association records and files and maintain the
secretary's office until the Cleveland Reunion.
I am sure that I speak for the entire membership in express-
ing our appreciation to Bud and Kay for the excellent job they
did in reorganizing and running the secretary's office.
To Bud - we hope that your recovery will be fast and com-
plete, and we all looks forward to seeing all the Bensels at the
Cleveland Reunion.

Meadow, Long Island, New York,
on March 11th. He has been
named John Robert.

Robert Hahn
Robert Hahn (C-17) died of a
heart attack last August, accord-
ing to word received from Bob
Bassett (C-17), 319 Hyslip Ave.,
Westfield, New Jersey.
William J. Gore
William J. Gore (66th) passed
away July 12, 1956. Notice of his
death was sent to Gene Blackford
by Gore's widow, Mrs. Miriani
Gore, 1033 Andrew Ave., N. E.,
Massillon, Ohio.

four years; spent five years as
an auditor for a Minneapolis firm;
then earned his CPA certificate
and since 1956 has been Bursar
of the College of St. Thomas.
Herb was married before going
over seas and now has four sons,
ages 11, 8, 7 and 5. This summer
he plans on taking his family on
a vacation through southeastern
Canada and the New England
states.
News About MPs
August DeFranza (MP), 68
Emmett St., Belleville, New Jer-
sey, writes that he gets together
with some of the Hellcats in his
vicinity once in awhile. He tells
us that Ted Siedenberg runs a
tavern on Green St., in Newark;
Phil Gerber runs a cab in New
\ ork City; Herb Wiel is a sergeant
on the Weekawken N. J. police
force. August is on the Belleville
Fire department; has two sons;
and would like to know the pre-
sent whereabouts of Major Holmes.
Stanley Volchok, 18 Stuyvesant
Oval, New York 9, N. Y., writes
that he visited Harold McGrath
(D-714), last year. McGrath lives
in West Andover, Mass. Stanley,
who was in the message center of
the 714th is in the flag decorating
business in NYC. He reports that
Max Renik (Hq-714) has a radio
and TV show in Washington D. C.
named the "Max Renik Show."

Merle W. Williams (A-134), 502
Main, Mt. Vernon, Indiana, writes
"I'm enthusiastically interested in
the Hellcat Assn." Merele attended
the Industrial Training Institute
