A HELLCAT
GOES VISITING
Charles Seamans (A/56) Hop-
wood, Pa. writes "I missed the
last day of the Reunion as I
had a Ibig trip ahead of me. 1
left Chicago and went thru Min-
neapolis, Minn, and on to Dic-
kinson, No. Dakota, where Clin-
ton Nodland picked me up and
took me to his ranch which w?s
about fifty miles north. This
was the first time I siaw Clin-
ton in sixteen years. I spent
three grand. and wonderful days
there with Clinton and his real
nice (family.
From there I went to St. An-
thony, Idaho and spent a day
with Delbert K. Patterson fa-
mily. They also treated me like
a king. I left here just before
the earth-quake that hit out
there.
I went to San Francisco and
on to Santa Barbara, Oalif.,
where I met Paul A. Garcia. I
spent one day there and went
to Topenka, Kansas. Here I
spent a day with Alvis C. May
and family. I was treated Ike
a king here also. I left here and
returned to good old Hopwood.
These guys couldn't get to the
Reunion so I took the Reunion
to them. They were all happy
to hear my report. I traveled
about 6,300 miles on my il7 day
journey and enjoyed every min-
ute elf it. I was real glad to see
Lt. Col. Floyd Van Derhoef and
Burl Hinkle at the Reuion. I
would like to thank all these
fellows who made my trip so
enjoyable and for a wonderful
time showed me at their home.
Loraine "Seaweed" Walter
visited me at home on Labor
Day. We motored to Pittsburgh
and visited Frank Marnik for
a short time. So I will say 1
have had a very good year in
"1959".
Roy E. Hanson (sv/56) 3204
47th St., So. Minneapolis 6,
Minn. "Had the American Le-
gion Convention here and Geor-
ge Hogg from service came to
visit. Have four daughters, one
in her last year of high school
and the youngest in her first
year of school."

Roger W. Hunt (C/66) 90 Ni-
chols Ave., Stamford, Conn.:—
"Nothing startling of late. Still
working for the A&P Tea Co.
on their quality control pro-
gram of ice cream. I have plen-
ty of it to eat. I keep in touch
with Mel Kleb OC/66) who is
now living in San Antonio, Tex-
as, (Ed Note: — Quality con-
trol on ice cream. How about
that kids?")
Harland H. DeGroot (B/493)
613 N. Prairie, Jacksonville, 111.:
— "Have recently purchased a
television and appliance store in
Winchester, 111. to sell and ser-
vice R.C.A. We have five chil-
dren ranging in age from six-
teen years down to fourteen
months. Enjoy the Hellcat News
very much."
Milton W. Moretz (B/119) Rt.
1, Boone, North Carolina: —
"Am making plans to attend
the Charlotte reunion and will
try to contact our North Caro-
line Hellcats and encourage
them to attend also. Most of
the fellows would probably re-
imiember me as company mail
clerk."
Harold Miller (HQ/43) 4421
Edison Ave., Bronx 66, N. Y.: —
"Married and we have three
children, Steven age 13, Susan
age 10, and Irene age 4. I own
my own bus company in New
York and am busy transport-
ing groups all over New York
and nearby states. My wife
Florence acts as bookkeeper,
secretary and housekeeper all in
one."
Lawrence J. Ferolie (C/66)
N. Chicago Ave., Rockford, 111.
is still engaged in the general
practice of law. He was out of
the state at reunion time and
was sorry to miss it. We wish
to thank Larry for sending us
a new member, Maj. Ogden
Fox farmer C.O. of (C/66), who
was with the military advisory
staff in France the last time
Larry heard1 from him. The
Major's address is ARMISH/
MAAG, A.P.O. 205, New York,
N. Y.
Nello Lazzari (C/66) 3035 Car-
oline Ave., Schenectady 6, N. Y.:
— "Extend to all "THE MOST"
and an extra hello to "Zeke"
Kornatowsky".
Received a nice letter from
Libby Kaus wife of Joseph Kaus
(B/lil9) of Box 68, RD7, Greens-
burg, Pa., who could not attend
our reunion this year because
of other committments. Joe and
Libby have attended seven
previous reunions and we are
sure they were very much mis-
sed by their friends.
E L LCATS
With Christmas time drawing
near and the spirit of giving
in the air think of what a
wonderful gift a MEMBERSHIP
IN THE ASSOCIATION could
be for a buddy who perhaps
expressed a strong desire to
join but simply hasn't gotten
around to it or in some cases
a friend who would love to
belong but just can't spare the
membership fee this time.
In this same spirit let us
renew the old friendships of
the past with a cheery card
of greetings to ibuddies whom
we have really never forgotten
but just neglected to keep in
touch with. Its a wonderful
feeling to be remembered.
Last but not least let us cap-
ture the spirit of brotherhood
so prevalent at this time of
year and carry it through in
our every day lives.
Ben Weisberg (A/714) sent us
a short note correcting the
printing of his address in one
of our Hellcat News issues. His
correct address is 5 Renee Place,
Massapequa Park, N.Y. Ben and
his wife Bernice will have cele-
brated their 14th wedding an-
niversary on Sept. 1st.
Congratulation to Ben and
Bernice.
HOW ABOUT
IT FELLOWS?
George Beagle (A/714) sent
in the dues for Marvin "Red"
Garver. This is not only gener-
ous of George but very com-
mendable. Sometime ago Wil-
liam Johnson (B/714) sent an
article into the Hellcat News a-
bout "Red" Garver. He was and
still is a very sick man. He
pleaded with some of the boys
he knew to drop him a line. To
date he has received nothing
from anyone but William John-
son and George Beagle. No man
is too busy to write a letter
when a letter would mean so
much. As some once said. "There
but for the Grace of God go I".
(How about it fellows, how a-
bout dropping Red a letter. His
address is Section 1, V.A. Cen-
ter, Martinsburg, West Va.).
