place, that's the way I play.
In mid-January we had a nice
get-to-gether at a local eaterie
for the birthday of Stan Sarno-
cinski, had about 20 people,
several from the 44th. In fact,
everyone there except the Rar-
icks (92) had, at one time or
another, been in the 44th, either
at Campbell or in the Pacific. I
don't remember all who were
there so look in 714th column
for George Moss' report. We are
all set for a good time down at
Bill Bartholomews Kenneth
City City Hall on the 31st of
January, hope we have a good
turnout, Bill always has us a
good dinner reservation.
Have planned on a trip to
Kentucky in early February,
however, the weather picture in
that area has me pondering
some later date, can't stand too
much of the snow and ice at
my age. Can't put it off too
long as I have grapefruit, naval
oranges, and kumquats to take
up to northern relatives. They
need their Vitamin C, and we
have a good surplus.
And, now, for the mail, glad
to see that many of our mem-
bers are sending along a little
note with their annual dues
(DUE JANUARY 1, 1988) of
$10.00, which is really a bar-
gain when you look at how
much better our newspaper is
in comparison to others. It is
only that good because the
membership contributes that
good!!! Keep it up!!! The news,
by company, is:
HEADQUARTERS CO.
Dues but no news from Ray-
mond Wodarski, Calvin Wyss,
and Leo Reinke (Come-on, fel-
las), and dues and news from
John O. Gallup and Robert R.
Sovereign. Gallup was Battal-
ion Mail Clerk, and Company
Clerk of Hq Co., sends his re-
grets at missing the Louisville
bash but is planning on Kan-
sas City. Has retired and en-
joys gardening, and says 47
people went on a "foliage tour"
(Church Group) and really en-
joyed the beautiful leaves, etc.
(I didn't know they had trees
in Oklahoma!!!) Gallup has en-
joyed good health in these 40
odd years since the end of the
war, having been to the hospi-
tal only once in all that time.
Did better than I did, and I feel
pretty good now myself. Seems
I got crossed up on my mail
again, Sovereign has not sent
in his dues yet, but did make
inquiry after seeing us adver-
HERE 'TIS
The hotel registration form
you have been waiting for. Now
is the time to act. Fill it out
and send it in. Or better yet!
Call the toll free number, 800-
231-5858, tell them you are with
the 12ADA and when you will
tised in the DAV Magazine. By
this time, Sovereign should be
a member as Paul Hempfling
is after him, and Paul gets his
man!!
COMPANY A
Dues and no news from Wal-
ter Breisacher out in California.
I had Robert W. Comery (Hq)
in here with Breisacher, guess
it was to keep him from being
lonely, sorry about that. Some
of you other guys write and I'll
get you all back where you
belong.
COMPANY B
Dues and no news from Har-
old Crowell, Edward J. Szymc-
zyk, Glenn E. Sherman, and
Raymond H. Couture. Also dues
from Bill Newman (wintering
in Florida) and expressing a
desire to be notified of our
"Irregulars" meetings so he can
attend. (Buscavage, please
note). Cliff Hanby is dressing
his car up with decals and a
new license plate (photo should
be in recent Hellcat News), has
recently moved from Troy to
Wynanskill, NY, (see address
change notices). Note from Ed
Sajovic who is interested in see-
ing the reunion in Las Vegas
sometime. Ed, look up Bert
Reda (in the phone book), he
has hosted a couple of reunions
in Las Vegas (for other organi-
zations) and has just about all
the answers you will need. I
see by the communications
from Norb and others that the
Life Membership question re-
garding Mike Paradisin (died
in October, 87) has been re-
solved, and that Mike will be
carried henceforth as Life Mem-
ber # 407. Remember, there are
no problems for those who
wish to be enrolled for the life-
time of the Hellcats Associa-
tion, if you get in your LIFE-
TIME membership dues now,
while you can still enjoy all the
privileges of association with
your peers.
COMPANY C
Dues but no news from C. T.
Tolbert, Frank Conway, R. C.
Miller, Charles J. Mclntire,
Eber R. Hartley, and my ole
Virginia friend, Reginald J.
