A lot of you have looked over
the Zip Code section that John the

thank you John, well I wished I

with me when Inez and I made
the visits in Florida after our
Cruise, as we could have visited
more Hellcats in that area, but it
came out after we returned. This
is one section that will have to be
put in future Rosters, it is worth
its weight in gold, believe me. It
is hard to go through the Roster
before a trip and look up Hellcats
in a certain area, but the Zip Code
section saves a lot of time.
I have found a few address that
were not good and were returned
because they cannot be forwarded
because of the 2nd Class and I
took these and sent them to
Hellcats from the town they did
live for help obtaining a new
address, so far at this writing
(1/5) I have received one back and
believe me within nine days from
the date I mailed it, I had an
answer back from Merlin and
Dorothy Lieg C/82nd with a new
address for Howard E. Myers
C/714th. Thanks you two, I al-
ways said we cannot do without
those Pillrollers. I am in hopes
that the others come through,
sometimes it is not possible, but
their efforts are appreciated, no
matter what.
Thats all the notes I have for
this month, except one main item
that never gets old. PAY THE
DUES WHEN THEY ARE DUE,
OR ELSE YOU WILL GET NO
NEWS. And do write your Unit
Rep, so he can let the others know
more about you, your family, and
what ever you want us to know,
questions about things, etc. Re-
member there is no such thing as
a foolish question, so do not feel
what you want to ask, will not be
received as making sense. Your
Unit Rep is there to help you and
there is not one that won't go out
of their way to help. Ask and you
shall receive. Help them make a
good column and you will reap the
harvest. The more they get to
write about, the more you get to
read and maybe what you read
might be worth a thousand fold
for you, and bring you a fortune in
lots of ways.
Many thanks to Merrill Irey
714th Unit Rep for his most
welcome phone call this evening
(1-5) bringing me the news I have
waited for, for a long time. If you
recall many of you when I was
Historian I requested if any one
knew R. R. Hodson who wrote the
"Soldiers Ten Commandments."
to let me know, well wouldn't you
know he followed me to the 714th
from the 44th I am happy to say,
when the split came forming the
714th from 44th men. Rocky you
old devil that was a nice piece of
work and to think A/714th wound
up with you. Mystery solved, case
closed. Now I feel content. Thanks
Merrill I did not relate names
sorry to say.
One other interesting thing
happened this day, I received an
answer to a request from Dale
McKitrick B/92nd which we hope
will materialize into another mem-
ber. Geo. Moss had a card in front
of the file with the name of Bill
Callahan his address from Braden-
ton, FL so Dale writes the name
and address is O.K. and he will

meet with Bill and find out more.
Bill's card did not have any unit
on it and the mystery is how you
got the name George??? Thats the
kind of news I like.
Until next month I will close
and hope all of you had a wonder-
ful New Years get together and
that good times will prevail in
your family during 1982. We hope
that things will turn around for
the good for all and go the other
way.
ITS GREAT TO BE A HELLCAT
Ken
WOW - PS: One big item that I
want to remind a lot of you
Hellcats of and that is a matter of
the $2.50 differential in the dues
that was raised in July, that you
have not paid, so kindly check
over your Checking Account and
see if you did send it in. There are
quite a few of you in that
catagory, so why not today look
over the situation and get them
into me, so we can have a
balanced dues paid situation O. K.
