DISTRICT BASKETBALL
TOURNEY SATl'RDAY
The annual district junior hinh
school basketball tournament will
get underway Saturday morning
in the Seminole High School
gymnasium.
Competing will be junior cag-
ers from Lamesa. O'Donnell,
Kermit, Andrews. Denver City,
Brwnfield and two teams from
Seminole.
The first game will start at
9:30 a. m. and games will con-
tinue up to 4 p. m. The cham-
pionship game is scheduled for
7:30 p. m.
Charges will be 12 and 25
cents.

On Monday, Jan. 17. the store
was burglarized and safe carried
off. Many of our customers had
given us checks for purchases.
We have recovered some of these
checks but some are still miss-
ing. Those of you who had given
us checks Monday, we would
appreciate your telling us about

to accommodate two basketball

Adjoining are physical education
rooms and team rooms equipped
| with showers. Girls physical
education rooms are equipped
with separate shower stalls.
The shop, which includes Trade
and Industrial Education and Vo-
cational Agriculture.
In the industrial rooms are
easels for drafting and a large
room for sheet metal work,
welding and precision machin-
ery.
The vocational ag rooms in
elude one for classes with a stage
for programs and a large hall
equipped wilh tools and math
inery used in farm engineering.
Uniformly used through the
buildlriKS are asphalt tile floors,
natural oak furnishings and off-
white ceilings. School board ,
headquarters have red leather
with dark oak furnishings.
Lounges for men and women
teachers are furnished with an
eye toward a restful effect in
soft colors.
Teachers assisting in the open
house activities included Miss
Cleo Price, librarian; Mrs. Mar-
tha Carter, public speaking; Miss
Lillian Lindiey. business admin-
istration; Mrs. David Mills, art;
Bert Affleck, Trade & Indusarial
