Have Bare Chance
For Play-Offs
The play-off bracket for the
Lions-sponsored softball league
is virtually fixed now, with each
of the top four teams assured of
nothing worse than a tie for a
play-off position.
Atlantic and T&P, currently in
fifth and sixth places, can tie
for fourth with either American
Legion or DCHS. Actually the
four teams could finish in a dead
heat for third and fourth places -
if the American Legion loses its
next two games, if T&P ajid At-
lantic win their next three games,
if DCHS wins its two games
and holds the lead in the suspend-
ed game with Atlantic, where
they were leading 13-3 in the
sixth inning.
Amerada is assured of finish-
ing no lower than second, and
still could finish first, while
Phillips has to win only one
more game to cinch at least a tie
for first.
Stanolind and SHS are out of
the running for play-off berths,
but still could upset the apple>
cart of the leaders; and might
be the deciding factor in fixing
the play-off positions.

Dear Judge:
I have recently learned that you are a candidate for Associate Judge of the Court of Civil Appeals at El Paso, Texas.
I have followed your course on the District bench for a number of years and am convinced that you possess all of the
attributes of a real Judge; you have the legal knowledge, the Judicial temperament, and the courage to apply the law as
you see and understand it, regardless of whom It affects.
If I lived In your district I would not only vote for you but would do whatever I could to help elect you. I trust
that the voters of your district will appreciate your service as a District Judge and will promote you. During the 17
years that I served on the Court of Criminal Appeals I read your decisions In cases that were appealed to the higher
courts and your record Is such that you may well he proud of for all time to come.
Yours truly.
C. G. KRUEGER
