Be Given
A back to school rock
concert featuring "Trepak",
the fantastic band from
Abilene, will be held Satur
day evening, August 16 in
the Baird High . School
Auditorium. "Trepak" has
performed in various places
throughout Texas and New
Mexico. Special guests for
the concert will be "Sierra
Hight" of Baird It all begins
at H:00 p.m., Saturday, and
tickets are only $1,50, so be
there for some good rock and
roll music.

ANSON—Changes in the
special Livestock Emergency
Credit Program are now in
effect in Texas, according to
William T. Grussendorf,
County Supervisor of the
Farmers Home Administra
tion announced today.
The program, originated
under the Emergency Live
stock CCredit Act of 1974,
will continue to be adminis
tered through county offices
of KmHA, the U. S.
Department of Agriculture
rural credit agency
Under the program,
FmHA guarantees loans
made by banks and other
commercial lenders to he|p
farmers and ranchers con
tinue in various lines of
livestock production through
a period of adverse economic
conditions.
The bill (Public Lawr 94 35)
signed June 16 by President
Ford amended terms of the
program established last
year and .extended its
duration through Dec HI,
197ti
Major changes in the
program are
Farmers and' ranchers
assisted by loan guarantees
"must be primarily engaged in
agricultural production, and
livestock operations must
account, for a substantial
