Lion Basketball Continues Steady Improvement
tbursday, January 20, 1983 The Albany News Page 3
Despite four losses in
boys' basketball action
last week, both Lion
coaches expressed con
tinued enthusiasm in
their program and con
fidence in the players.
Varsity Coach William
Kennison stated that his
team was in a learning
process and was steadily
gaining momentum.
"We've got a bunch of
young kids in a new pro
gram; they have no at
titude problems and
they're getting better all
the time. We're going to
end up spoiling it for
somebody in the district
who won't be ready for
us," lie said.
Kevin Stanford, junior
varsity coach, indicated a

playing well, and they're
improving with every
game," he commented.
"Even though they aren't
in the winning column, we
aren't at all disappointed
in t heir progress."
