School Board Renews All Contracts,
Studies Use Of Computers In Education
Members of the Albany
Independent School Dis
trict Board of Trustees
met Tuesday, March 15
and renewed all faculty
contracts, according to
Superintendent Terry
Harlow.
The local supplements
of high school and elemen
tary faculty were in
creased $150.
Decisions on the local
supplement for the coach
ing staff were not made
until a survey can be
made.
The local supplement
for aides and secretaries
were increased $600 on a
motion by Larry Bonner.
The salaries of bus
drivers and cafeteria staff
were set on a daily and
hourly rate.
In Harlow's report, the
trustees were advised of
preliminary plans for re
modeling at Nancy Smith
Elementary School
Harlow said the re
modeling is only in the
planning stages.
The board also dis
cussed the use of micro
computers as an instruc
tional tool. Harlow said
the board is investigating
the computers, and will
