The Shackelford County Pecan
and Food Show held Saturday
was termed a success with 46 win'

two varieties of pecans were ex

Thirteen entries from the conn
ty show were entered in the
regional contest in San Angela
Tuesday.
Those entering pecans in the
regional show included Butch Pat
ter son, Hurkett; Toe Whalev,
Desirable.; Lawrence Winkler,
Kiowa; Winkler. Mahan. Winkler'.

Leadership and Chapter Conduc-
ting team placed fourth in state
competition Saturday in Hunts

The team was one of 10 teams
that participated in the meet.
The team, under the sponsor
ship of Carl Wilson, won the ban
ner at the Oilbelt District and
Area t contests earlier in the

First place winner was a team
from Spur, while East Central
San Antonio won second. Third
Sdace went to a team from
.amesa.
The team consists of J ana Hill,
SteVe Snore, Cindy Freeman,
Hrett Holly, Larry Latimer. Keith
Shelton, and Hilly Gilbreath.
