young people, and older people, a lot to do.

The cast and directors are hard at work for

It is expected that this year's Fandangle will
draw the largest attendance, in history. This
indication comes from early ticket sales and
interest in the big summer show.
WE HAD A GOOl) Democratic convention
at the court house Saturday, when four
resolutions were passed and delegates to
the state convention named.
We were pleastMl with the resolution
backing the President and fighting men.
and commending the President for
sending troops into Cambodia to destroy
North Vietnamese staging areas.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the "silent
majorities"—and they are great majori-
ties—spoke out in supporting the fighting
men and the President in their efforts to
combat Comnitinsm and end the war in
Vietnam?
The resolution concerning turmoil on col-
lege campuses was very good. A small ma-
jority of students, led by outside influence,
are wrecking our great institutions of lea! n-
ing, and something has to be done about
disruptions, riots and arson on the campus-
es.

$25 a month supplemental
charge for welfare patients in
addiction to tlie state allocation.
Plan seeks a six percent in-
crease in state payments for
patients requiring skilled care

costs in other categories would
decline if families pay the sup-
plemental charge.
Meanwhile, State Board of
Public Welfare, which took the

woman to give occasional sing

hours only though her home
was supposed to lie used for
residential purpose, only.
Of course, the particular
wording of the deed restriction
may make all the difference.
For instance, the restriction
might simply say that "no trade
on business" shall be allowed
on the premises.
This phrase was held to pro-
hibit a homesbased beau y shop
even though of modest size. But
it was held not to prohibit a
doctor from seeing patients in
the back room of his house.
The court said the doctor's ac-
tivity was neither a trade nor
a business but rather a profes-
sion.
In still another case the deed
restriction did have a specific
clause allowing use of the prop-
erty for a medical office. Under
this wording, could a veterinari-
an use his home for a Cat hos-
pital A court ruled that he
could not. The judge said the
difference between a medical
office and a cat hospital was
just too plain to be ingnored.

neighbors might not look kindly
upon such an enterprise. As
suming that your property has
a deed restriction, limiting it to
residential use, would you be
able to go ahead anyway?
If the business is on a sub
stantial scale, you ordinarily
could not get away with it. For
example:
A man and wife opened a I
chicken dinner restaurant in the |.
living room of their home.
When a neighbor haled tliem

"We are still using the place
