KIDS COM
T HANKSG-IVING-/
By Jordan Lucas
Thanksgiving is
an excellent time of
the year. You get to
gather with family
and enjoy the holi-
days.
Usually, people
help others out
around Thanks-
giving because
the season re-
minds them of
how lucky they
are.
Right now, stu-
dents at my school
are participating
in "Hoops for
Heart" in their
P.E. classes to
raise money for
the American
Heart Asso-
ciation.
The stu-
dents that
raise money
have the
li
chance to get prizes when they
reach a certain level. Also,
the class that has the highest
total will get a "free day" in
P.E. or one student gets to be
the P.E. Coach for the Day.
All the students participat-
ing are in fourth grade to sixth
grade. They will be able to
use the Thanksgiving holi-
days to ask for pledges from
their relatives or friends. And
even though they get some
prizes for participating, the
main thing is to help the
American Heart Association
Have fun during the holi-
days and stuff yourself full of
great food!
Psalm 100:4 - Enter his gates
with thanksgiving and his
courts with praise; gtie thanks
tojiim and praise his name
