Volunteers are needed for an alcohol treatment study.
Call if you are:
• Willing to quit drinking
• Drinking on average 3 or more drinks per day
• Experiencing alcohol craving
• Age 21 to 65
• In good physical health
• Have no history of hospitalization for alcohol
withdrawal or medical detoxification
• Not currently n treatment or using medication to
stop drinking
• Willing to participate in a treatment study

AT 1ST ANNUAL POLICE WEEK
HEROES BREAKFAST
Police Chief Charles A. McClelland, Jr. and Tilman J. Fertitta,
Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Houston Police
Foundation will lead the public in honoring 32 Houston Police
Department employees for their exceptional courage and
outstanding service at the First Annual Police Week Heroes
awards ceremony, Monday, May 14 at the Hyatt Regency
Downtown Hotel from 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Tables of 10 are
available for $1,000.
"This breakfast is two-fold," said Tilman Fertitta. "While we
are recognizing our officers and civilians for exceptional courage
and dedication, we are using this opportunity to raise funds for
additional equipment to assist HPD in providing the very best
protection for our community."
The Houston Police Foundation has spent more than $1.8
million for specialized training and equipment for the Houston
Police Department.
