Seymour la lagging u bit so far as
(the older boys are concerned, but
the Cubit are coming along In a
great way, end these must furnish
the recruits for the Boy Scout
troops. There is u fine group ol
loaders In charge of the Cubs, and
they are doing a splendid—and un-
set fiah— work.
The big event of the year was
the annual Blue and Cold banquet
given last Thursday night In the
basement of the First Methodist
dhunch. There were some 150 Cub
Scouts, acouters and parents who
attended the event.
Den Four was In charge of the
opening ceremony. A four tiered
anniversary cake, holding thirty
candles representing the Cubs of
Pack 72, wore lighted according „

' Scout program.

HACKED HEART SOCIETY
HAS MONTHLY MEETING
Mesdames Clem Thoele and Bob
Thompson were hostess to the reg-
ular monthly meeting of the Sacred
Heart Altar Society on Tuesday
evening, March 2nd, in the parish
hall. Mrs. John Kenznk presided.
During the buslnes session, commit-
tee chairmen for the year were
named along with their members.
Report was also given by the lo-
cal delegate to the deanery meet-
ing of the l.C.C.W. which was held
in Wichita Falls on Feb. 11th. At
the conclusion of the meeting,
prayers were offered for Pope Plus
XII who celebrated his 78th birth-
day March 2nd, us well as the 15th
anniversary of his election us
Pope.
Refreshments were served by the
hostesses to 18 members and Rev.
Theo, Francis.
Mrs. Curl Klsinger of Red
Springs yus in yesterday to re-
new the home paper going to her
parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. II. Ewiug
of Dilley, near San Antonio. She
report's that they are both doing
fine in the matter of health. That
country Is about as dry us this part
of West Texas.

stration Club met Feb. 17 in the
home of Mrs. George W. Biggins,
Jr. The president, Mrs. Ed Hill,
presided. Mrs. Geo. W. Hlgglns,
Jr., brought the opening exercise.
Mrs. II. M. MeLarty gave the
Council report and requested all
committee chairman to attend an
Organization Clinic on March 2
from ten o'clock until three. She
also told of a Landscape School to
be held in Denton March 10-11.
The meeting was turned over to
Mrs. O. T. Richeson who directed
the last of the Work Simplification
Programs. Each litember brought
a diagram showing how they had
simplified u household problem
they had. Some very good art
showed up along with 'some very
good ideas of saving steps in house-
hold tasks.
