No. 1096 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the monthly fee a defendant must pay during a period of 3 community supervision. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Section 19, Article 42.12, Code of Criminal 6 Procedure, is amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as 7 follows: 8 (a-I) A judge may not require a defendant to pay the fee 9 under Subsection (a) for any month after the period of community 10 supervision has been terminated by the judge under Section 20. 11 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
