CHAPTER 417 S.B. No. 390 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the effective date of a new court cost or fee or of an 3 amendment to the amount of a court cost or fee. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Subsection (d), Section 51.607, Government Code, 6 is repealed. 7 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only 8 to a law imposing or changing the amount of a court cost or fee that 9 takes effect on or after the effective date of this Act. 10 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 11 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 12 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this 13 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 14 Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
