Hamburlgars
iii frying pan
over burglary
Hamburglar #2
By Tracy R. Mesler
It took Nocona investiga-
tors less than 48 hours to
find the local version of the
"hamburglars" who broke
into The Carpenter's Shop
Senior Citizens Center
sometime last Monday night
and stole between 50 and 70
pounds of food.
"I'm going to call
McDonald's and tell them
we found the Hamburglar,"
Police Chief Kent Holcomb
chuckled Thursday morning
after the chief and Sgt. Matt
Poole brought in one of the
two people charged with the
offense, David Roberts.
The officers said they
found evidence at the scene
which led them to the cou-
ple. Pool arrested the other
suspect, Penny Resendiz, on
Wednesday on a series of
outstanding warrants as well
as a warrant for burglary of a
building. Bond was set at
$3,000 on the burglary.

David
Duane Roberts, 38, of
Nocona, was arrested the fol-
lowing day and also charged
with burglary of the Senior
Citizens Center.
"We recovered most of
the meat," Sgt. Poole report-
ed.
"Both of them are going
away," the chief stated.
"They already were facing
probation revocation before
this."
The Monday night bur-
glary forced the volunteer
directors and kitchen staff to
do a fast clean up and still be
able to prepare lunch meals
for the in place dining as
well as Meals on Wheels.

The front yard of Pat and Weldon Parr's home on East U.S. Hwy. 82 reflects what Nocona residents have been expe-
riencing — there is a hint of fall in the air.
Free flu shots, free blood
sugar screening, free choles-
terol check as well as access
to a variety of medical serv-
ices makes the Nocona
General Hospital Health Fair
next Tuesday worth far more
than the price of admission -
especially since the price of
admission is free!
The Health Fair will be
held in the Nocona
Elementary School
Gymnasium, 300 Montague
Hwy., from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 23.

terol. As well as free flu
