Hazel Stout
Mrs. Hazel Dell DeMoss
Stout passed from this life
Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at
the age of 92.
Mrs. Stout was a devoted
wife, mother, grandmother,
daughter, sister and aunt.
She and her late husband,
R.B. Stout, made an indeli-
ble mark on the community
for years as owners of Rick's
Drive In, a once popular din-
ing and meeting place for
both young and old, and
Stout Furniture &
Appliances.
Mrs. Stout worked side
by side with Mr. Stout in
both businesses throughout
their marriage and until
retirement. He preceded her
in death in November 2000.
A native of Montague
County, Mrs. Stout was born
Jan. 4, 1920, one of six chil-
dren of the late Margie and
Luther DeMoss. The eldest
daughter, she developed her
strong work ethic early in
life from her parents and by
helping out with her younger
siblings.
Mrs. Stout was a lifelong
member of the First Baptist
Church of Nocona and, until
just a couple of years ago,
had remained active in her
Sunday School class. She
maintained friendships as
well for several years as a
member of the Red Hat
Society.

death by her husband and
parents, as well as three
brothers, Melvis DeMoss,
L.V. DeMoss and Travis
DeMoss, and their respective
wives; a sister, Neva
Forrester, and her husband;
and a nephew, Ronald
Forrester.

two children, daughter Jo
Patrick and husband Roger
Patrick, and son Jim Mays
and wife Peggy Mays, all of
Nocona; her last surviving
sibling, sister Trula
Kuykendall of Kennedale;
grandson Jody Mays and
wife Renee Mays of Euless;
and numerous nieces and
nephews, their children and
grandchildren.
Mrs. Stout was looked up
to and respected by her fam-
ily for her inner strength,
resiliency, beautiful style
and quite grace a Texas
woman, through and
through. Her family enjoyed
many of her and R.B.'s won-
derful home-cooked meals
over the years.
She was particularly close
to her brothers and sisters
and their respective spouses.
They all enjoyed spending
what time they could togeth-
er, especially after all the
kids were raised. Mrs. Stout
had especially fond memo-
ries of traveling with her sis-
ters and brothers-in-law in
their retirement years,
including trips to Branson,
Mo., and Broken Arrow,
Okla., where she and Trula
visited their ailing sister
Neva several times in the last
years of her life.
Mrs. Stout will be dearly
missed by her family. They
are grateful to the owners
and staff of Yester Year
Home for their gentle and
loving care of Mrs. Stout the
final months of her life.

Jack McGaughey's opponent says...
"I will push my agenda."
—newspaper ad 5/3/12
That's a VERY scary statement. A judge
should be completely neutral and make
rulings based on the facts of EACH case
n accordance with Texas Law, NOT on a
personal agenda.
A judicial candidate who says he will "push
his agenda" is in direct violation of The Texas
Canon of Judicial Ethics. He subjects himself
to reprimand and embarrassment.
Don't let egotistical statements fool you.
