Schools: The Institute sustains the following schools:
Ancient Languages; Modern Languages; Philosophy; Science;
Mathematics; History; Commercial; Expression and
Oratory. Others will he added.
It is proposed that any one who gives $500.00 to the
Trustees can select one of these schools and name it. Mrs.
A. M. Thornton, of Merkel, named the Bible school, "The
A. M. Tiornton School of the Bible." E. M. Dabney, of
Thorp Springs, named the Science school, "The Dabney
School of Science." Brethren, this means much to tile
school, and your money and name will strengthen this great
work. We hope to see many interest themselves in what we
are doing. The charter, a copy of that of the Gunter Bible
College, provides for donations and bequests. We ask you
to remember the cause of Christian education when you
come to distribute your means. We need to finish o.lr basement
and do other enlarging for next year, and more furniture
and better apparatus are greatly needed. Will you not
place some of your God-given means in this great channel
through which you may bless so many? It is not a personal
matter. This is "OUR WORK." We ask you to join us as a
partner.
COURSES.
Primary: MISS CARROLL. In this department we offer
the work usually done in the first four grades of our public
schools. As far as is thought advisable we use the same
texts. Miss Carroll's special preparation and natural ability,
with her experience, make her a success as a primary teacher.
There are a few really successful primary teachers.
Miss Carroll is one of them.
