CANADIAN TEXAS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 16 1945
OUR GUEST EDBTOHBAl
By Tom Abraham
The war has ended and once
again the world and Canadians
part of it basks in the light of
peace
Yet millions of American serv-
ice men Canadian boys and
girls too remain on foreign soil
as far from home and as lonely
as when the guns still roared
And in wartorn lands through
out the world other millions
wander in hopeless misery They
arc our liberated allies little
children the aged and the
starved
Unless we help them all that
we fought for will be forgotten
Unless America extends a help-
ing hand and Canadian Is
part of this great land of ours
the peace will be lost though
the war has been won
As long as there Is still a
single Canadian boy abroad
there should be no thought of
abandoning him Wherever they
may be on guard In Germany
on a lonely Pacific island a
