Here Tuesday
The Canadian Grain CoOp is
throwing a big barbecue and feed
here Tuesday night with the co-
operation of the Rotary club for
Canadian businessmen farmers
ranchers and coop stockholders
John Snider of Amarillo will
prepare the barbecued meat in
his own wellknown style
This ruralurban gettogether
will be held at the football field
at 730 according to Tom Abra-
ham one of the Rotarlans assist-
ing with the program and food
preparations

Mrs Clark Reagan was called1
to Amarillo last Thursday by the
death of her father J B Sum

Mr Summerour who would
have been 34 years old In Septemt
ber had been in poor health for
some time and had recently been
making his home with his daugh-
ter Mrs J L Bapwell at Ama-
rillo where he passed away
Funeral services were held at
the Baptist church at Clarendon
Saturday and burial was made In
the cemetery there

Mrs Ed Stephenson and Mrs
Rachel Thomas were cohostesses
at a surprise pink and blue showed
honoring Mrs Arvil Johnson
The lovely affair was held in
the Stephenson home Thursday
afternoon at 300 oclock The
hostesses served delicious refresh-
ments of Ice cream cake and
iced tea
