Last Wednesday evening the
regular prayer meeting service s
at the Presbyteriarichurch were
.followed by avs-icial hour during
which refrephments were served
upon the church lawn. A large-
number of the members were
present together with many
friendsof the church and visitors.
The prayer meeting services con-
ducted Mr. Alfred Wacker began
at 8:15, lasting about tnirty min-
utes, The pastor gave an outline
and short talk on the thirteenth
chapter of First Corinthions from
the theme. "Love, the Greatest
Thinin the World." This xwith
songs' and prayers comprised the
devotional part ot the program,
Immediately upon the close of
the prayer meeting the congre-
nation adjourned to .the front
lawn where ice cream and cake
were served to all. The entire
evening was delightfully spent
and all expressed themselves as
having enjoyed it. A, vote of
thanks was tendered Mr. Alfred
Wacker. who had suggested the
plan and was largely responsible
for its execution. The ladies
were also thanked for their ser-
vices in furnishing the china and
silver ware, Thanks is also due
to those whoso generously used
their cars to bring some other-
wise unable to be present.
It was agreed that next Wed-
nesday the same plan would be
followed except that the re
freshments be watermelons in
stead of cream and cake. There
will also be special music. All
members and friends of the
phurch are cordially invited. If
you fail to come you' are depriv-
ing yflurself of a pleasant even
ing profitably spent. Preaching
next Sunday evening on the
lawn in front of the church at
8:15. Come and be cool.
