EBRUARY, the shortest month, brings the greatest
reductions on suits and overcoats here. Though it
might seem a bit late, remember that Winter was a "bit
late," and the prices that we have affixed to these stylish
garments would be ridiculously low in July. There are
still several weeks of cold, sharp winter weather, and
the garment are good for another season's wear.
What Size Suit Do You Wear?
If you are of the ayerage build, you pan get one of these
distinguishly stylish suits or overcoats at about half.
price. We have simply made up our mind that we wont
carry over a single garment, and the prices that we have?
put on our remaining stock are such that will carry out
our clearance intentions. We have cut short on descrip
tions and let prices talk.

The Cates home is alwav a
muoh sought spot as a surcease
from dull care and heavy heart-
edness and one who enters al-
ways finds sunshine of the genu-
ine quality. So It was with light
henrts and joyous anticipation
the guests gathered on Tuesday
evening to join in the celebration
of the sixteenth anniversary of
Mr. and Mrs. R, F. Cates mar
riage. The home bore its usual
decoration of ferns but when the
dining room waB roaohed the ef-
feot was dazzling. Covers were
laid foi' fourteen. Tho plaoc
odrds being most unique, they
were heart shaped, and each lady
guest's card bore the date 1801
with a tiny photograph of Mr.
and Mr Cates at the time of
their marriage, while her oscort's
place was markod by a similar
card bednng the date 1907. with
the hosts' pictures as they are to
day. A comparison of tho pic-
tures of the two dates showed
that Father Time had dealt most
kindly with them. An elegant
dinner v-as Berved the following
guosts: Mr. and Mrs. Slawson,
Mr. and Mrs. Vilson, Dr, and
Mrs, Harlan, Mr. and Mrs. Hoide.
Mr. and Mrs. Bailey, Mr. and
Mrs. White and Miss Waoker.
The guests returned to the parlor
where interesting and unique
contests were enjoyed, ending
with forty-two, after which ice'
cream and angel food was served.
After a pleasant time spent in
this very hcpitablo home the
guosts left the happy soeno with
wishes for many happy returns-
of the day and thoughts of a de-
lightful evening spent with Mr.
and Mrs. Cates, thu.i bringing to
a close one of tho most perfectly
appointed and dolightful occa-
sions, a Guest.
