BAND CONCERT
The concert given by the Albany Band and
Orchestra at the Public School Auditorium Friday
night was a decided success from every stand point.
A large crowd was out to witness the performance.
They had au excellent program, and for two hours
the large audience was enraptured with th« very
choiceest selection of music. It wasn't the old rag-
time, humdrum kind that is usually dished out to a
sleepy audience; but it was the very latest. The
audience voiced their approval by hearty cheering.
Albany's musical talent is away above the average,
and we think the people of Albany fully appreciate
this fact. Our Band, when on dress parade with their
handsome uniforms ou and as line a set of musical
instruments are in the state—well, it makes us feel
proud of them, and we don't think there is anything
in the state that will outshine our Band and Orches-
tra.

To
Old Customers and Friends of Albany and
Shackelford County:
If there are any of you that would like to give me all or a part of your
trade this FalJfWill say that I have one of the nicest and best assorted stocks
of Dry Goods, Clothing, Gent's Furnishing Goods, Shoes, Hats, Caps and
Fancy Goods to be found in the state. You all know the class of merchandise
I carried while there: I tried to cater to the trade that paid more attention to
quality than price; and I am proud of the reputation I made by selling good
goods. I will gladly send samples upon application; or any orders entrusted
to me will have my own personal attention. I will also prepay express
charger on orders amounting to $5.00 or over; or will pay your railroad fare
