THE QUALITY OF GRANITE
Did you ever think of the peculiar strength, beauty,
and inherent excellence of granite? Did you ever look at
an immense granite boulder, and feel that it stood like
a monarch among the world of stones? Didn't it seem
saying to you:
"Why should I not stand aloof, in solemn dignity?
Am I not a king among the stones of the world? Have
I not been melted in the crucibles that were hotter than
anything the human mind can conceive? Do I not em-
body every feature of excellence in Stone? Has it not
taken nature uncountable ages to produce me? Man can
find no other substance that will serve him quite so
well in my stead. Thus am I justly proud. I possess
that chiefest of all attributes-Inherent, changeless
QUALITY."
As it is with granite, so it is with every other object
and article on earth that embodies the attribute of
Quality. It occupies a proud place, it needs not to cry
out its excellence. It commands respect, and is sought
after by the world. It is only necessary to say, "This
house is the abode of Quality", and men go there to seek
the most valuable things in life.
So, the motto of this store is "Quality, above every
other consideration." We invite you to view the array
of merchandise that bears the stamp of Quality, and is
proud of its intrinsic merit.
