Marvin Nobile
Marvin Nobile. 74, of Tulia died
late Thursday afternoon in Neb-
kdt Hospital at Canyon.
The retired farme.' was a native
of ITaposesia, Italy, and moved
to Montague County’ in 1906 and
to Tulia in 1921.
Funeral services were held Sat-
urday afternoon at St. William's
Catholic Church with the Rev. Ge-
rard Lynch, jwstor. officiating Bur-
ial wa.s in Happy Cemetery under
direction of Wallace Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, An-
gelia: two son', Ray and Lloyd
Nobile, both of Tulia; three daugh-
ters, Virginia Nobile and Mrs.
Mary Norm, both of Tuha. and
ills Frances Grossman of Kress;
two brothers, Louis Nobile of Cal-
doinia and August Nobile of Mon-
tague; and ten grandchildren.

for several years who died Mon-
day afternoon in Swisher Memor-
ial Hospital, will be held in Du-
rant, Mississippi.

Thornton made his home here with
a daughter, Mrs. Georgia Lee
Murff.

AM ARILLO — The Panhandle
Economic Program (PEP) is surg-
ing forward in its ovt-rall object-
ive of furthering the economic de-
velopment of the area.
Planned for next month Ls a
Water Resources Utilization Insti-
tute, according to W. W. Gris
ham, Jr., district agricultural ag -
ent with the Texas Agricultural
Extension Service and PEP Co-
ordinator.
The institute will be held on
January 22, 1970 at the Holiday
Inn West in Amarillo and will
start at 9 a m. Agricultural lead-
ers. bankers, agency personnel and
othiT interested individuals are en-
couraged to attend.
Theme for the session will be
"Water Resources Utilization —
Now and Later.”
The program for the water in-
stitute is being planned by the
PEP Resource Development Task
Force which is headed by J. W.
Buchanan of Dumas. Curtis O'Rear
of Amarillo is vice - chairman and
Ed Weber, also of Amarillo, Is
secretary. Weber is also serving
as chairman of the Water Sub
(ommitbx.
