OEA Program
On Make-Up
On January 24, the OEA girls
had Mrs. Evelyn Bookout and Mrs.
Jesse Raymond as gu.*st spoak-
e-rs, representing Merle Norman
tips on make-up and styles of
clothes.
Mrs. Bookout told about her trip
to Dallas. She told of all the various
styles of clothes she saw and told
how important makeup was to
complete the appearance of a well-
gi oomed woman. They also told of
the emphasis that i' put on eye-
lashes in today’s make-up style.
At the conclusion of their talk,
the girls were giv»>n a chance to
ask questions. They asked about
cleansers and asked about their
own |>ersonal appearances.

The standard deduction
is up this year. But
maybe you should itemize.
f;
Your Kest buddy Lenny might have toM
you to itemize your deduction* because it
would save you more tax dollar*.
Your neighbor possibly suggested taking
the standard deduction because you'd pay
less taxes that way.
And Frank down at the office
... he hel|>s everybody with
their return . . . what did
Frank recommend?
If there's some way to
save you money on your
income tax, HSR
Block will know how
to do it.
Itemized and stand-
ard deduction* are noth-
ing new. We’ve been f”
preparing returns for years l *
using both. We'll figure out
your situation both ways and
then prepare your return using th.
method that's best for you.
You see, for only a few dollars mors than
it coats to do it yourself (with advice maybe
from some other amateur), you can have
your tax return prepared with complete
confidentiality by a specially trained mem-
ber of the H & R Block team. There are
thousands of them in over 6,000 conven-
iently locates! offices.
Eac h member of H & R Block is warm,
friendly and anxious to help you. A visit to
H & K Block usually takes just a short
time. Once in our office, you sit down over
a free cup of coffee and possibly learn
C<J
things about your income tax that you
never knew existed. Things that we know-,
because income lax returns arc our only
business.
H It R Block’s fees start at $5 and tho
average cost was under $!2.!>0 for
over 7 million families we served
last year.
Furthermore, if your
return is audited we will
accompany you, at no
extra cost, to the In-
ternal Revenue Service
and explain how your
V—return was prepared,
even though we wilt not
net as your legal repre-
^ . sentativc.
. It means that H & R
" Block nlso offers you year
’round tax service lor just one
low fee, with no extra charge for
audits and estimates.
Yes, it’s true. The standard deduction is
up this year.
It’s one of the mnnv things we’ll consider
when we do your return.
DONT LET AN AMATEUR DO
H*IK BLOCK’S JOB.
