civic leader, died Sunday.
Mr. Graham, owner ol Happy Here-
lord Ranch, located between Happy.
Canyon and Umbarger. had been a tanner
and rancher in the area since 1927
Mr Graham, a graduate ol W ay land
Baptist U niversity, was active in Ameri-
can Hereford Association. Panhandle
Hereford Association. Panhandle Ioses-
tock Association and American Quar-
terhorse Association.
Mr Graham also was one of the origi-
nal board members of Swisher Electric
Cooperative and sersed on the Canyon
Independent School District Board of
trustees Irom 1948 to 1981 He had
hosted the Texas Christian University
ranch-management class every year since
the program began in 1957
He received the Stockman ol the Year
award in 1973 from the Record Stock-
man ol Denser. Block and Bridle award
from I exas lech University and l.ives-
tockman ol the Year award from West
I exas State University. Hewasa member
ol first Baptist Church
He was married to Nettie Mae Abbott
in 1929 After her death hewas remarried
to Clifford W hite in 1965

bookkeeper, retiring in 1971. She was a
192b graduate of St Louis College of
M usic. and a member of Vandelia Village
Church of Christ in Lubbock
Survivors include three daughters.

farmers Elevator. He was a member ol
the first Baptist Church
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte
Weavers ol the home: one daughter,
Ramona Carter of Denison: one son.
