TRIBUTE TO ARIZONA—Bobby Adams, CED of the
Swisher County ASCS office, was among the hun-
dreds of sailors aboard the USS Bennington CVA-20
attack carrier who formed the word "Arizona" In
tribute to the vessel sunk Dec. 7, 1941, at Pearl
Harbor. The official U.S. Navy photograph was taken
as the Bennington CVA-20 passed adjacent to the
renowned downed vessel on Dec. 7,1960, exactly 19
years after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Almost half of
the 2,403 U.S. casualties that fateful day (an esti-

Kevin Kicman is "doing great."
The Tulia native who now resides in
Austin underwent six hours of "tedious
brain surgery" on Nov. 21 in St. David's
Hospital in Austin. He is now "walking
on his own," according to his sister,
Brenda Gunnels.
A son of Mr. and Mrs. Urban Kleman
of Tulia, he will receive speech and
physical therapy for a period of months.
After swelling subsides, he will have an
MR I (brain scan).
He is only the fourth individual in the
United States to have surgery on this
portion of his brain, which involves one's
speech.

comed. It should be addressed to Kevin
