Youth Bicycle Safety Program
Scheduled By Police On May 4
An education program for children from kindergarten to eighth grade is
planned for 10 a.m. Saturday of next week, May 4, by Tulia Police Department. The
program, at the Tulia High School parking lot, includes the following:
•Bicycle safety inspection
•Bicycle registration
•Discussion of traffic laws governing bicyclists
•Different courses to demonstrate laws and safety skills learned.
During the program, Officer Donald Dunn says, "We will inspect the child's

of the bicycle to aid in recovery of stolen bicycles."
A $ 1 registration fee will be collected to cover material costs. Refreshments are
to be served and prizes will be given at a drawing.
FIGURINES AT LIBRARY—A number of Hummel figurines from the

the Goeleb artisans was approved by the nun until her death In 1946.
