Dr. Pierce’s Golden Medical Discovery
As the best medicine on earth,”
Dr, Pierce’s Golden Medical Dis-
covery purifies the blood and en-
tirely eradicates the poisons that
breed and feed disease. It cures
scrofula, eczema, erysipelas, boils,
pimples and other eruptions that
mar and scar the skin. Pure blood
is essential to good health. The
weak, run-down, debilitated con-
dition which so many people ex-
perience is commonly the effect of
impure blood. Dr. Pierce’s Golden
Medical Discovery not only cleanses
the blood of impurities, but it in-
creases the activity of the blood-
making glands, and it enriches the
body with an abundant supply of
pure, rich blood.

A Startling Test.
To save a life, Dr. T. G. Mer-
^tt, of No. Mehoopany, Pa.,
"made a startling test resulting
in a wonderful cure. He writes:
“A patient was attacked with vi-
olent hemorrhages, caused by ul-
ceration of the stomach. I had
often found Electric Bitters ex-
cellent for acute stomach and
liver troubles so I prescribed
them. The patient gained from
the first, and ha^ not had an at-
tack in 13 months.” Electric
Bitters are positively guaranteed
for Dyspepsia, Indigestion, Con-
stipation and Kidney troubles.
Try them. Only 50c at A. John-
son’s.
No Others
It is a class to itself. It has
no rivals. It cures where others
merely relieve. For aches, pains,
stiff joints, cuts, burns, bites,
"fertile quickest and surest
[remedy ever devised. We mean
Hunt’s Lightning Oil. 50c and
25c bottles;
A Sure Thing.
It is said that nothing is sure
except death and taxes, but that
is not altogether true. Dr. King’s
Newr Discovery for Consumption
is a sure cure for all lung and
throat troubles. Thousands can
testify to that. Mrs. C. B. Van
Metre of Shepherd town, W. Va.,
says: “I had a severe case of
bronchitis and for a year tried
everything I heard of, but got no
relief. One bottle of Dr. King’s
New Discovery then cured me
absolutely.” It’s infallible for
Croup, Whooping Cough, Grip,
[Pneumonia and Consumption.
|Try it. It’s guaranteed by A.
Johnson, Druggist. Trial bot-
tles free. Regular size 50c, $1.00.

Portland, Maine, Oct. 17,1902.
I consider Wine of Cardui superior
to any doctor’s medicine I ever used
and I know whereof I speak. I suf-
fered for nine months with suppressed
menstruation which completely pros-
trated me. Pains would shoot through
my back and sides and I would have
blinding headaches. My limbs would
swell up and I would feel so weak I
could not stand up. I naturally felt
discouraged for I seemed to be beyond
the help of physicians, but Wine of
Jardui came as a God-send to me. I
felt a change for the better within *

week. After nineteen days treatment
I menstruated without suffering the
R.D’Gnioa T ncmellw
agonies I usually did and soon became
regular'and without pain. Wine of
Cardui is simply wonderful and I wish
that all suffering women knew of its
good qualities.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?
Names of Those Who Petitioned the
Commissioners’ Court for a
Prohibition Election.
Below wTill be found the names
of those who are responsible for
the prohibition election that is to
be held on June 4th in this coun-
ty. There were 375 names to thh
petition, and the court spent
quite a while checking the list,
ascertaining how many of the
signers had paid their poll taxes
and were in good standing as
voters. They checked about 350
names, and out of that number
found 206 who had paid. The
balance of the list was not check-
ed, as the required number had
been obtained. The names of
those who were checked “un-
paid” are grouped together at
the end of this list. Some of
those appearing in the first part
of the list are also delinquent,
but we have no means of know-
ing just who they are. If is pos-
sible there are some mistakes in
this list, as it was copied from
the original petition on file at the
court house, and many of the
signatures are rather illegible.

you will use it if you are wise.
R. N. Andrews, Editor and
Mgr. Cocoa and RockledgeNews,

Fire at Nacogdoches.
The Central Hotel, located on
North street in Nacogdoches,
was burned Saturday night
about 10 o’clock, the fire starting
from the explosion of a gasoline
stove. The building belonged to
Mayer & Schmidt, and was in-
sured for about half its value.
No good house keeper ever neglects Spring clean ing.
With plenty of soap and water, hard scrubbing and scour-
ing, sunlight and air, she soon gets rid of all rubbish,
musty odors, germs and microbes, and the dust and
dirt that have accumulated during the long winter
months. But when the house has been put in order,
and the premises cleared of all old plunder and trash,’
the great majority of house keepers feel that Spring
cleaning is over, and forget that their systems may be in a worse condition than the house
and that the bad feelings, debility, loss of appetite, nervousness and sleeplessness from which
they are suffering are due to neglect of the more important and necessary work of Physical
house cleaning. A clean house does not insure against disease, but a clean system does
The poisons and humors engendered within the body, the waste matter that is clogging
the system and contaminating and vitiating the blood, are far more dangerous to health
than the dirt and dust of our homes. In the winter time we give free rein to our appetite0
and eat more and oftener than is for our good. We inhale the polluted air of badly ventilated
offices and rooms, take little or no exercise, and our bodies become a veritable hot-bed of
disease-bearing germs, and our blood is loaded with impurities and poisons of every conceiv-
able kind; and no wonder that Spring time is so often Sick time and finds ns in such poor
physical condition, with vitality slowly wasting away, our digestion impaired, the diver torpid
and all the bodily organs oyer-worked and out of repair. Unless our systems are given a
thorough cleaning and the blood purged and purified, the simplest malady may develop into
some serious disorder or end m chronic invalidism, and often the pent-up impurities, poisons
and humors break out through the skin, and all through the Spring and Summer you are
tormented with boils, itchy rashes, sores, bumps and pimples, and all manner of ugly
pustular and scaly eruptions. s J
Physical house cleaning should begin with the blood. It must be purified and strength-
ened, and when a stream of pure, rich blood is turned into all the nooks and comers of the
