St. Paul, in the words above, is
telling the Galatians that they can
not be prejudiced against races,
stations in life, or anything els?.
Christianity is supposed to be above
prejudice. •
In the long history of the world,
however, prejudices have never been
stronger, or more violent, than in
our modern world. We are preju-
diced against races and nationalities
and new ideas. 1
Besides being un-Christiao, these
prejudices are actually ridiculous —
as ridiculous as the Englishman who
. $aid he despised all Americans, but
had never met one he didn’t like.
We must reorganize our thinking,
or our prejudices Will be our doom.

A miscellaneous shower was
given for Miss Corenne Prickett,
bride-elect of Wencel Lee Jones,
Tuesday night at the Community
Center at Allens Chapel.
LdUies from Gum Springs, La-

Punch and cake squares were
served at the refreshment table
which was deebrated with a hand
made lace table cloth and orchid
hydrangeas and white glads, the
brides chosen colors.
More than thirty-five guests at-
tended and several sent gifts who
were unable to attend.
Miss Prickett, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Jake Prickett of Carson,
and her fiance will be marridd at
8:00 p. m. June 24, in Downtown
Baptist Church in Wichita Falls,
groom is with Sears Roebuck Co.,
in Wichita Falls.

dow Homecoming Sunday. During
intromission Mr .and Mrs. Bald-

braith visited in Honey Grove with
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ohr, Jr., and
family.

MET THURSDAY
The Euzelian Class of. the First
Baptist Church met in the Educa-
tional- Building Thursday at 3 p.
m. o’clock, with 17 members and
2 visitors, Mrs. Francile Hartson
and Mrs. Willie Chiles.
The president, Mrs. Burraa Cha-
ney, presided.
Meeting was opened with prayer
by Mrs. Francile Harston. The fol-
lowing songs were sung: “It Pays
To Serve Jesus,” “Make Me A
Blessing”, accompanied by Mrs.
Leonard Whitlock.
Roll call and minutes were rcao
by secretary, Mrs. dal lie Bailey,
and offering. Devotion was given
by Mrs. Willie Chiles on “Prayer
from Gen. 1-9; Gal. 6-9. It was an
impressive discussion and every
one enjoyed it. Song, “Blessed Re-
deemed.” Prayer by Mrs. Lois Lit-
trell. A Bible quiz was directed by
Myrtle Reeder. Dismissed witl
prayer by Mrs. G. W. McFarland

ing from a broken arm she receiv-
ed June 11th in a fall at her home.
