Animal control officer John Holt needs a home “way out in the country” for a female calico. The cat
made an incredible journey sixteen miles back to Canadian after being adopted by a woman who lives
south of town. He has a tribe of felines this week including a yellow neutered male and a black spotted
spayed female, both of which are house cats. He also has a yellow and white male kitten and a
part-Siamese mix cat. There were more cats on their way to the pound and one Siamese kitten found a
home as Holt was making his list. The lone dog is a black and white male cocker mix who is four to
six months old.
