Whether you’re a Canadian
school ex-student or a new-
comer, you’ll enjoy the school
exhibit and the window ex-
hibits at the River Valley
Museum. A number of people
have contributed interesting
memorabilia for these exhibits
which Nancy Alexander has
been in charge of. Pat Roberts,
and ex-Ag teacher (and sub-
stitute teacher this year)
prepared a fine exhibit of Ag
Department pictures, trophies,
and so on. If your photo is
there, Pat says you may have
it.
If you have something of
special interest to ex-students
which you are willing to loan,
call Betsy Alexander or the
Museum, 323-6548.
We still have some Rodeo
posters and pictures on dis-
play, and the Rodeo Clown ex-
hibit for your enjoyment.
Remember Leonard
Milburn’s beautiful
photographs, too. These are for
sale. Mr. Milburn will soon
have photographs of this year’s
4th of July Rodeo and Celebra-
tion on exhibit.
We also have Nan Haydon’s
lovely art work for you to enjoy.
The Museum will be open on
Saturday afternoon for the MS
150 bike riders coming from
Amarillo, and for anyone else
interested. Someone will al-
ways open the Museum if you
have guests or want to bring a
group in. We opened on Mon-
day morning for about 30
children and adults from the
Busy Bee Day Care Center in
Perryton.
You can come in now and see
our doctors' exhibits, although
they are not officially open.
That will come soon.
Have you seen Calvert
Norris’ saddle? He rode horse-
back to Notla school from 1st
through 6th grades — a few
years ago! His son, Jerel, has
polished the saddle and it looks
almost new.
The Rodeo Association has
neckerchiefs, clown pins and
the 1990 Rodeo newspaper for
sale. We also have for sale
Ralph Hanawalt’s Oklahoma
history books and Museum
mugs and notepaper.
Pam Spencer’s small anti-
que organ, antique rocker and
drop leaf table are for sale and
can be seen at the Museum.
