Phillies Continue Lead In Sharpstown L. League
The rains forced postponment
of some games last week but did
not interfere with the league
leading Hillcroft Pharmacy
Phillies as they continued their
winning ways, defeating the First
State Bank Giants 12 to 2 and
the Pebbles Phillips 66 Colts 8
to 3.
The chips will be down now
as the Transco White Sox, who
are tied with the Phillies for the
second half lead, play the Phil-
lies this week. In other action
last week, the White Sox defeat-
ed ihe Temple Lumber Co. Yan-
kees and the First State Bank
Giants, while the Colts beat the
Yankees.
