moved to Big Springs recently,
was back here this week on busi-

with his new home.

painting W N Jones' two houses
and is now painting T J Morris’
house in the western edge of
town.
Last week in setting T J Mor-
ris’ ad we failed to sign his
name to it. We very much re-
gretted teis mistake as Mr. Mor-
ris has been one among the
Herald’s best patrons since the
present management has had
charge of the paper. His ad
has been so regular in the paper
that many noticed last week
that his name was not in the
paper.
To my Friends
I have excepted a position
with Moor Bros’ Prescription

my friends to call on me, and
any thing you should need in
the drug line, I would be pleas-
ed to have the opportunity of
serving you.
Yours Very Respectfully,
L. H. McMillen.

If there is any one little im-
provement that Carbon needs
more than any other, it is foo ,
crossing at each crossing of the
streets along the business por-
tion of the town. In wet weather
it is imposible to cross main
streets without getting the feet
wet and muddy. Crossing made
of stones set in the ground at
proper stepping distance apart
would cost but little, and woulc
add gseatly to the comfort of
the public and particulary to
that of the ladies. We do hope
the business men and town of-
ficials will give this matter
prompt attention.

One of Jeff Moor’s little child-
red swallowed a pin one night
this week, but as no one knew
of it, the pin remained in the
child’s throat all night. The
next morning it complained of
the sticking when an investi-
gation was made and the pin re-
moved. It is dangerous to allow
children to ha/e pins.—Gorman
