Model Airplane Fluid
Two Bellaire officers escorted
a frantic Sharpstown mother
and her two-year-old' daughter
to Texas Children’s Hospital
Monday morning after the
youngster swallowed fluid used
in model airplanes.
The tot, who was reported
out of danger Monday afternoon,
is Kathleen Lalor, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John M. Lalor,
8203 Dunlap.
“I certainly want to express
my appreciation to those officers
for the wonderful way they
came to our assistance,” said
Mrs. Lalor. ‘‘I don’t know who
they were but I intend to find
lout.” The officers were J. O.

49 Dick, Evans moved the ball
for Condit to the enemy 32.
There the Cats fumbled and
Brae Burn’s Brad Nicholson re-
covered the ball.
Nicholson then broke the Cat’s
back as he took the ball on the
first Bear play and drifted back
to his 20, then he ran down the
left sideline for 80 yds. and a
Bear TOUCHDOWN. The PAT
failed but the Cats were hurt.
The Condit passing game vvas
stopped by great defense playing
on' the part of Geo. Clayton, Tim
McKcever, Tim DeLang, and
Mike Anderson.
Fine Running
In the second quarter, the
Bears uncovered another run-
ning back when John McCreary
did some fine running and also
some great pass defense. Condit
tried with Pressley throwing
from all angles but the Bears
were too tight.
As the half was near it’s end,
played their usually fine game.
But, the Bears were ready and
stopped them cold. This puts
Ihc Brae Burn team in the
league lead with Gordon on
next’s week menu.
Gordon-Horn
Horn, not used to losing, sent
little Mike Jones across the field
for 55 yds. and a touchdown
early in the first quarter against
Gordon to take the lead. Jones
also got the PAT.
But the lead was short lived
as Gordon’s Jim Yarter scam-
pered across for a Gordon TD
and Fullback Ross Ferguson
picked up the extra point to tie
up the game. It was still 7 to
7 at the half.
Scot Morgan got Gordon an-
other six points in the third
quarter and Ferguson again
picked up the PAT. Ferguson set
up the third Gordon TD with a
run to the Horn 31 in the final
period. Yarter took it over from
the Bears recovered a Cat | the Horn 20 and Ferguson

tumble on the Cat 12 and Nichol-

by going over for another touch-

Creary, and Nicholson to run
the Cats into the ground. Late
in the last quarter. Bear line-

pass and the Bears took over
on the Cat 20. Simons carried to
the 18, Nicholson to the 15.
