Scout swimming meet was held place, Troop 130, Bellaire Meth-

Only one more week until
the school bells will be ringing
and the car pools will once
again be in full swing.
Here at our house son num-
ber one will be off for his sec-
ond year at the University of
Houston; son number two will
finish his second year at Bell-
aire High; and son number three
is eagerly anticipating his en-
trance into kindergarten at
Richmond Elementary.
Other young men and women
in this area who will be at-
tending classes at our local
schools of higher education are:
BUBBA LEONARD, 5910 Imo-
gens, University of Houston; his
sister PATSY LEONARD will
finish her last year at the Uni-
versity of Texas Dental School;
JAMES ALFRED GILLISPIE
of 5810 lmogene will be attend-
ing the University of Houston,
as will JENNIE ASHLEY of 5906
lmogene.
Three other young ladies who
are packing and preparing to
leave for out-of-town universi-
ties are: SANDRA MARSHALL
of 5833 lmogene will return for
'her second year at North Texas
State; her sister SHIRLEY will
begin her freshman year at La-
mar Tech; and KAREN SUE
BERTELS off 5462 lmogene will
leave for Concordia College
where she will be a freshman in
the teacher training program.
I’d say the street of lmogene
is well represented. How about
hearing from some cif you other
guys and gals.
GARDEN CLUB NEWS—The
Braeburn Terrace Garden Club
will hostess a “coffee hour” for
prospective members this eve-
ning at eight p.m. at the Bay-
land Park Recreational Club-
house.
The “Merry Weeders” of
Braeburn Valley meet this eve-
ning at the home of MRS. CARL
GEISER, 7915 Twin Hills. All
members t|ave been asked to
bring a “hobo bouquet.”
