JIM KELLOGG
INJURIES MINOR
Thirteen-year-old Jim Kel-
logg, 5001 Beech, received only
minor Injuries Tuesday, Feb.
26, when the chain on his bic-
ycle broke and he collided with a
car.
The accident happe/ied at the
Rice and Chestnut In Intersec-
tion. Jim was taken to Bell-
aire General Hospital where X-
rays showed he was none the
worse except for cuts and
bruises. He was back in school
as usual the following day.

at 7:30 p.m. on March 14 at the

The third session of the In-
quirer’s Hour at the Church of
the Epiphany, 7045 Beechnut,will
be held Monday, March 11 at
the church at 7:30 p.m.
Topic for discussion will be
"Why I Am An Episcopalian-
Evangelism Commission.”
On March 18 the topic will
be "Why Do Episcopalians Get
Up and Down So Much”. Topics
for the final three sessions will
be "The Faith of the Church"
on March 25, "The Christian
Sacraments” on April 1, and
"The Christian Life" on April
8.
Babysitters will be provided.

Sue will represent Bellaire in
competition for the honor of
NOMA Business Student of the
Year, an annual competition
sponsored by the National Office
Management Association.
Students from high schools
throughout Houston will be pre-
sented at a banquet on March
21 at the Ben Milam Hotel and
the top student will be announced
at that time. Business education
teachers and school principals
will be present.
Sue was one of five Bellaire
high students who were consider-
ed for the Bellaire High honor.
Others were Judy Rust, Helen
Wald, Neala Brown and Kay
Behrman.
Selection is made on the basis
of general scholastic average,
number of business subjects
taken and the average grade in
these subjects, achievements and
service in school in other fields
and membership and offices held
in school and service organiza-
tions.
Spe is a finalist in the Nation-
al Merit Scholarship Competi-
tion. Her father is chief geophy-
sicist with Texas Company.
