Randall, gypsies at heart, plan
to make a scries of short ex-

something they’ve wan'
since their return from Chicago
last Summer. They should dis-
cover a lot of interesting places;
or, at least, enjoy their spring
fever.
Going to Dallas for new ideas

To all those people who
hastened to Fin & Feathers for
the K-9 Guardian flea salve
for dogs a month of so ago—
only to find they were too
late; sold out—we have news:
F. & F. has a new supply. The
salve is applied to the inside
of the dog collar and the ma-
kers guarantee results: No
fleas, ticks or lice.
F. A. Martin and sons, John
and Don, operators of Westmore-
land Farms Dairy, 1435 North
Rice, announce the installation
of a modern homogenizing ma-
chine which will handle up to
500 gallons of milk per hour.
The machine installed by
Westmoreland Farms is a Gaulin
Homogenizer, and it replaces an
older machine which only hand-
led 200 gallons.
Mr. Martin stated that when
the Westmoreland Form Dairy
first began operation, there was
only one employee other than the
family. They originally started
with 88 acres surrounding the
present plant site, but since the
cattle have been moved to a
farm on Hempstead Highway.
The first day of operation for
the plant saw only 8,000 quarts.
Operating strictly on a delivery
basis, the Westmoreland Farms
does no wholesale business at all.
Now employing 27 people, the
plant has been expanded to more
than twice its original size. Ac-
cording to Mr. Martin, two more
trucks are being added, and with
them, capacity will be reached.
He stated that the plant could
pand no further without re-
ducing quality.
