SUMMER RESORT BUSINESS
Reports are coming In indicating
that the summer and vacation re-
sorts will have a very heavy busi-
ness this year. Very likely this
business will be greater than ever
before. The spots where people
spend vacation time are likely to
be crowded. It would seem desir-
able for people to make their reser-
vations for accommodations at an
early date.
A great number of people will be
planning long trips to see the coun-
try or to visit friends. Every part
of our country has many beautiful
spots and resort centers which It
is a great pleasure to visit for a
long stay.
Pamous historic spots are centers
of keen Interest A great throng of
people have the travel urge, and the
desire to see famous scenes and to
share the highly pleasant life of
the resort places, to enjoy fishing,
bathing, water sports, mountain
climbing, and the many diversions
of these centers.
Advertising draws many tourists
and visitors to the places to which
publicity Is given. People are re
minded by such advertising of plac-
et which they have always wanted
to see, and many are likely to come
In response to such publicity.

Lean High School, who has served

SIDEWALK CONVERSATIONS
It Is one of the pleasant features
of Ufe in a town like Shamrock
that there are so many pleasant
conversations as people meet on the
streets and Walks, they are con.
stantly meeting their friends and
exchanging remarks on their ac-
tivities and Interests. There are
many Inquiries about people’s fam-
ilies and as to what people are do-
ing. ™s
People’s Uvea may be so busy that
they have Uttle time for social calls,
but they see friends as they meet
on their dally errands. They find
pleasure In friendly Inquiries or
talking about things that have
recently happened.
Many people are so busy and
hurried that they cannot take time
for such talk. If one can spare a
few moments to chat with some
friend, the time is valuable In keep-
ing In touch with the things one s
