The body was laid to reat In the
Shamrock Cemetery with Womack
Funeral Home In charge of arrange
ments. Members of the Shamrock
Chapter of the Order of Eastern
Star sat In a t ody at the church
and held the Eastern Star funeral
service at the graveside.
Mrs. Vaughan was bom Septem-
ber 26, 1893, at Carthage, Texas,
and was reared In and near Sham
rock. She was married to Mr.
Vaughan in 1941, the couple resld
log at their ranch home two miles
west of Shamrock.
She was u member of the First
Christian Church of Shamrock and
an officer in the Eastern Star of
this city.
Besides the widower, survivors In-
clude her father.3. B. McPherson,
Shamrock; one daughter, Mrs. Jim
Stroud, Pep, N. M.; and three sis-
ters, Mrs. Bert Edwards. Montda,
Montana; Mrs. Tony Vought, Rich
mond, Washington; and Mrs. H. P.

The speaker served as Judge of

of the Clinton Klwanls Club, and
a member of the Masonic Lodge.

iron lung in three minutes while
two men can put it on In one min-
ute, Danzlger claims. Light alum-
inum shields are applied to the
chest and back of the patient, ex-
tending only from the neck,to the
syalst. These Shields are tightened
together by screw clamps and the
neck and waist are encased In rub-
ber diaphrams which will give, With
the Inhaling and exhatllng of the
machine, forcing the lungs to ex-
pand and deflate.
Some Of the common uses of the
iron lung include: drownlngs, suf-
focation. heart trouble, new-born
babies, asphyxiation, electrocution,
infantile paralysis and post-opera-
tive failures.
