art, Friday. The latter stayed for

I transacted business in Wheeler Wed-
nesday.
Mrs. Jim Bill Curry and daugh-
ters of Richmond, Calif., came Wed-
nesday for a visit with the child-
ren’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
M. D. Curry.

In case a worker gives his account
number to an employer and it proves
to be incorrect he is jeopardizing his
protection under the old-age and
survivors insurance program under
the Social Security law, according
to James L. Fanner, Manager of the
Amarillo Social Board office. It is

Eleven children were born to the
union, five girls and six boys, of
whom only four are living: Mrs.
Lula Laycock, Shamrock; Mrs. Sal-
lie Lenox, Seattle, Washington;
Mrs. Hilda Byrd, Amarillo; and Mrs.
Marie Shaw, Aberdeen,
j Mrs. Wail, with her family, moved
i west in 1892, and resided in the
Aberdeen community until taken by
death. She had many friends in
this area, having fed and furnished
sleeping accommodations to many
cowboys back in the days when
| many miles separated houses and
means of travel were slow.
She became a member of the
; Methodist Church in childhood and
| was a charter member of the Aber-
deen Church.
Besides her four daughters, Mrs.
Wall is survived by 11 grand-
children and two great-grandchild-
ren. Three of the grandsons are in
service and all have seen overseas
duty: Marine Private First Class
Royce Wall, Elcentro, Calif.; Cox-
swain Robert Lee Wall, Bremerton,
Washington; and Cpl. W. O. Lenox,
European Theater of Operations.
Other survivors Include four sis-
ters: Mrs. C. C. Rolls, Wellington;
Mrs. John Simmons, Freer' Mrs.
Dee Allison, Baltimore, Maryland;
and Mrs. Julia Muse, San Angelo.

Mrs. Wm. Kyle, who underwent
major surgery at Scott and White
Hospital in Temple last week, is
reported to be improving rapidly.

Mrs. Kate Stoker returned Wed-
nesday from Calumet, Okla., where
she had visited her son, Roy Stoker,
and family several months.
Mrs. R. O. Cunningham and
daughters, Mrs. Oleeta Matthews
and Mrs. Fleets Little and baby,
were Shamrock, visitors Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Tate and son,
Floyd, of Dozier, visited their daugh-
rectly, such as the wrong Initial or
first name. He may be depriving his
widow and children of monthly ben-
efits, in case of hls death, if these
errors are not corrected.
It will prove of much benefit to
the employer in aiding him to keep
his wage records if employees will
cooperate with hlrp in checking a
second time on tile name typed on
the account card and the one on the
payroll under which he is working.
The employer must make reports
based on the information given him
by the worker. He consequently
should be provided with correct and
accurate data.
