The Ladies Missionary Society
met Monday afternoon at the
church. A business session was
held.
George R. Reneau and daughter,
Edith, made a business trip to
Shamrock Monday.
Misses Maxine Cooper, Sadie
Brock and Ed*and Claud Brock call-
ed Thursday on Miss Lorene Cates,
|i who is in the John Cox hospital for
appendicitis.
Mesdames Nida Green, Ernest
Kromer and daughter, Margurette,
Walter Bailey, and daughter, Glenn
Dora, Jack Bailey, T. F. Phillips,
W. L. Litchfield, Archie Farren,
Luther McCombs, Ernest Brooks,
and son, Joe, W. H. Rutledge, John
Rotenberry, Paul Ladd, Oliver El-
liott and daughter, Johniece and
Miss Willie Lee Bailey, Edith Re-
neau and Imogene Rutledge attend-
ed the Annual Home Demonstra-
tor Encampment north of Wheeler
Thursday and Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. George R. Reneau
and daughters, Grace and Emma
Alyeene and son, James, returned
to their home Saturday after visit-
ing Mrs. Reneauls father, A. F.
Meroney, of McDonald, New Mex-
ico. Arthur Reneau, who has been
visiting there for the past eighteen
months returned with them to stay
for some time.
Mrs. L. C. Haynes and daughter
and Mrs. Prank Bailey and children
visited Mrs. Haynes’ mother, Grand-
mother Carr of Plainview this week.
Misses Willie Mae Love, Henrietta
Chilton, Annie Pugh, Dee and Max-
ine Cooper enjoyed a slumber party
in the home of Maudell Corum of
McLean Thursday night.
Miss Lucille Harlow, who has been
attending Tech at Lubbock came
home Thursday to visit a few days
with her parents.
W. J. Chilton and daughters, Lor-
etta Faye, Jennie Mae, Henrietta,
and son, Porter, visited In the Jim
Chilton home at Clarendon Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Chilton are the
parents of a new son.
A. P. Redding and daughter, Myr-
tle of Mangum, Okla., are visiting
Mr. Reddings daughter, Mrs. T. H.
Pickett.
Hubert Chilton, Lee Cotes and
Harry Starr left last week for San
Francisco where they will be em-
ployed.
The Church of Christ revival
closed Thursday night. Rev and
Mrs. Norman Cooper and family left
for their home In Solon, Ark., Sat-
urday.

Jr., went to Ramsdell Saturday af-
ternoon to swim and fish. They
caught nine fish.
Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Smith, John

In McLean Saturday afternoon.

were In Pampa Tuesday.

of Amarillo visited at Pankan's and

Mr. and Mrs. John Cadra and
family visited In Shamrock Sataur-
day afternoon.
The Lutheran society held a pic-
nic at the Pakan home Sunday af-
ternoon. They sold cookies, Ice
cream and lemonade and earned
*11.05 which will go to the benefit
of the society. About 55 were pres-
end and everybody enjoyed the pic-
nic very much.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rislan and
Sam Pakan were in Shamrock Sat-
urday afternoon.
Dusan and Christina Pakan were
in Shamrock Friday afternoon.

Miss Violet Sammons, who is at-
tending school at Amarillo, visited
home folks here last week-end.

missed services Sunday morning
and evening for the revival that Is
being conducted by Rev. Virgil Lol-
lar of Kress. Attentive audiences
are greeting Rev, Lollar each eve-

Claude Aycock and J. L. Nix of
Shamrock attended the revival
Sunday night.
Mrs. J. W. Mengers and two
daughters, May and Fay, are home
from the funeral of Mrs. Ford of
Snider, Okla., sister of Mrs. Men
ger.
Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Shaddlx of
Abilene visited their daughter, Mrs.
S. E. Mayfield and family from
Friday until Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Mayfield and
Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Shaddlx went
to Dodsonville Tuesday and visited
relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Davis of Beno-
nlne, who are now with Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Terry, are the parents of
a nine pound boy, born Friday, July
18.

Perryton visited her Saturday.

week-end at Memphis visiting rela-
