January first of the coming year as
local manager of the Independent. Te-
lephone company at Marlin. The po-
sition as manager here has been filled
by the appointment of J E. Glenn,
late cashier for the Southwestern at
Cleburne, who has had a number of
years experienc in the telephone
business, a large part of which has
been as manner at various Important
points covered by the Southwestern
The Independent company is Just In-
stalling a new and very extensive
plant at Marlin, which will he com-
pleted and opened for business on the
first of the coming year In tthe
meantime Mr. Arrington will be en-
gaged with the company at Waco and
he left with his family for that point
last Monday night. The Southwest-
ern Is In the habit of engaging only
capable men of moral worth as man-
agers of their various e\< hanges and
In the person of Mr. Arrington they
have in Dublin had one of the very
best of men The new manager took
charge here last Saturday

.Mllhollan did not buy a ticket, but
paid fare to the conductor and went
to Fort Worth. From that place no
trace of him can be found.
Bart Mllhollan has hold responsible
'positions In the city and was consid-
ered one of the most promising young
men. He has been married for some
five years and his wife and small son
are terribly distracted over his con-
tinued absence. He not only stood
well, but was in good shape financial-
ly and had the good will of a large cir-
cle of friends.
In this same connection says the
Bulletin, there is another mysterious
disappearance which is giving a wife
considerably uneasiness and that is
that of John Simmons, a friend of
Mllhollan. Simmons left for Bawton,
Okla., a week ago last Wednesday and
has not been heard of since by his
wife. A phone message to Isiwton
disclosed the fact that he has not been
there at all. He has been married
only a few months and the young wife
is very uneasy about hint
