Seminole iliffh debate and speech
team.
Al a previous meeting, approv-
al was withheld because Si IS of-
ficials had trimmed the number
of overnight trips for the debate
team from six to Hi roe
Monday, the board ordered four
overnight trips for the debate
team and specified that oilier ex-

The debate team will tuakc
overnight trips to tournaments in
Lubbock (twice), Amarillo or Son-
ora and Abilene. Non-overnight
trips are planned to Odessa, Mid-
land and Kermit, in addition to
a speech tournament here in Sem-
inole.
Travel plans lor other school ac-
tivities were approved at an earli-
er board meeting.
Other action taken by the school
board included:
1. Hiring Frank Tennill ns.a
half-day custodian at F. J. Young
School.
2. Discussed a number of pro-
posed changes in the board's poll
eies and regulations. Many of
these deal with teachers’ con-
tracts.
3. Changed its meeting time
from 8 to 7:30 p.m. as is custo-
